Before the initial consultation, I take the time to conduct an in-depth review of your dog’s or cat’s background information. Then, during the initial consultation, we thoroughly discuss your dog’s or cat’s background information, which includes past and present:

Our discussion is essential to informing the creation of a comprehensive natural and holistic diet, nutrition, wellness and personal care plan tailored to your individual dog’s or cat’s needs. In creating a plan, I select from a wide variety of healing whole foods, supplemental foods, herbs, nutraceuticals, other alternative medicines and personal care items.
No Starchy Carbohydrates, No Exception
In keeping with my holistic philosophy of care, it’s essential that every component I select for your dog’s and cat’s diet contribute to their health and healing. This is why the plans I create include species appropriate, fresh whole foods only.
Within the pet industry, inclusion of species inappropriate foods, such as starchy carbohydrates, is commonplace.
While dogs and cats can, technically, consume starchy carbohydrates, they can’t thrive on them. Your dog and cat are not biologically evolved to consume starchy carbs. For instance:
- Your dog and cat don’t possess the necessary digestive enzymes to breakdown and absorb these foods.
- As well, starchy carbs block the absorption of nutrients resulting in dietary deficiencies.
- Starchy carbs also contain high levels of natural chemical compounds that cause and contribute to inflammation, autoimmune disorders and chronic disease.
Given that, I never recommend starchy carbohydrates in your dog’s or cat’s main food, treats, supplements and personal care items.

Coordinate your consultation

We’ll coordinate a date and time for your dog’s or cat’s initial consultation.
To secure your initial consultation, you must pay the new client initial consultation fee. This fee covers your first 30 minutes of video consultation time.

Once you’ve secured your dog’s or cat’s initial consultation, I’ll send you a background questionnaire. The questionnaire must be filled out prior to your consultation.

Detailed written prescriptive plan

After your initial consultation, a detailed written prescriptive plan is required.
A detailed written prescriptive plan is a natural and holistic diet, nutrition, wellness and personal care plan.
The scope (i.e., components) and fee for your dog’s or cat’s detailed written prescriptive plan is determined at the end of the initial consultation.
The detailed written prescriptive plan is a separate fee from video consultation time.

Following up is integral to treating and maintaining your dog’s or cat’s health and wellness.
My standard hourly rates apply to follow-up video consultations.
For Dogs and Cats With Health Issues
Natural and holistic treatment is a process requiring your trust, effort, time and patience.
When treating an acute or chronic health issue, our work together doesn’t end once you implement the detailed written prescriptive plan. For example, adjustments will need to be made to your dog’s or cat’s plan based on their individual treatment progress. For this reason, there is no set number of required follow-up consultations. Instead, follow-up is personalized to your dog’s or cat’s circumstances.
For Dogs and Cats Without Health Issues
If your dog or cat doesn’t have a health issue, it’s still crucial to follow-up. We’ll need to assess how their body responds to the recommended items. As well, for puppies and kittens, adjustments to doses are necessary as they mature.
It’s also recommended you follow-up annually to discuss any questions or concerns that may have emerged throughout the year.

Initial Consultation Fee
Your dog’s or cat’s initial consultation typically requires 1.5 to 2.5 hours.*
- The new client initial consultation fee ($120 CAD) covers the first 30 minutes of video consultation time.
- After the initial 30 minutes, my standard hourly rates apply.
Fee: $240 to $360 CAD
- *Because every individual dog and cat is unique, the time required for an initial consultation varies. Additionally, if you have multiple dogs or cats with health issues, you should set aside slightly more time.

Your Initial Consultation
- During your consultation, we’ll thoroughly discuss your dog’s or cat’s background questionnaire.

- We’ll also address any additional questions concerning your dog or cat.
- If applicable, guidance for minor changes to current diet and/or personal care regimen that you can implement immediately.
- At the end of your consultation, I’ll outline the components and fee for the detailed written prescriptive plan.
Detailed Written Prescriptive Plan Fee
The fee for your dog’s or cat’s detailed written prescriptive plan reflects:
- Their individual circumstances.
- The complexity of the health issue(s) being addressed.
- My extensive time and effort to create it.

- 1 to 4 Kittens or Cats, No Health Issues
- Fee: $875 to $1,075 CAD
- 1 to 4 Kittens or Cats, With Health Issues
- Fee: $1,275 to $2,275 CAD
Puppies and Dogs
- 1 to 2 Puppies or Dogs, No Health Issues
- Fee: $975 to $1,250 CAD
- 1 to 2 Puppies or Dogs, With Health Issues
- Fee: $1,525 to $2,350 CAD
- 2 to 4 Puppies or Dogs, With Health Issues
- Fee: $2,625 to $4,000 CAD

Are my holistic wellness services available in your country?
Yes, holistic wellness consultations are available worldwide via video.
How long is the wait period for an initial consultation?
Initial consultations are typically booked two weeks in advance. If your dog or cat is experiencing a non-life-threatening urgent health issue, I will try to fit you in sooner. However, it may not always be possible to rearrange my schedule.
Keep in mind that prior to the initial consultation, you’ll need to fill out your dog’s or cat’s background questionnaire and send relevant health records. Then, I need time to set up your file and review the information you’ve provided.
Can I set up a consultation for my family member’s, relative’s or friend’s dog or cat?
I only work directly with individuals who have guardianship over their companion animals. Individuals who would like to engage my holistic wellness services are welcome to contact me.
Given the commitment, effort and trust required for natural and holistic treatment, it’s necessary for the dog’s or cat’s guardian to be an active and full participant in the process.
Do I have discount codes or sell pet food, products or supplements?
No.
Do I offer payment plans for consultations or detailed written prescriptive plans?
I don’t offer payment plans.
Do I accept pet insurance?
I don’t accept pet insurance or coordinate with pet insurance companies.
Am I veterinarian?
No.
Can I recommend a specific veterinarian to you?
No. I advise clients to have a veterinary clinic of their choosing for necessary diagnostic testing and life-threatening emergencies.
