Rooibos Tea Homemade Dog Treats, Recipes

Rooibos tea homemade dog treats provide you with a great opportunity to have fun with treats while supporting your dog’s health. Red Rooibos tea is my number one choice of herbal tea for daily use as part of a general healthy diet for dogs. Homemade rooibos tea dog treat recipes can provide you with a great way to add this amazing tea to your dog’s diet.

Organic red rooibos tea offers a powerhouse of benefits to support your dog’s short and long-term health. This tea is rich in minerals including nature’s natural antihistamine – quercetin.  Rooibos contains 50% more antioxidants than green tea, and is rich in vitamin C.

All of the dogs in my own dog pack have organic rooibos tea added to one of their daily meals.

This rich red tea is an anti-inflammatory with the power to help fight symptoms of allergies, helps fight cancer, boosts your dog’s immune system, does wonders for skin and bone health, supports heart health, slows aging, is excellent for maintaining renal health, helps to support psychological well-being and more. Rooibos is also excellent for topical application to aid in the resolution of issues such as skin inflammation and hot spots on main body and paws and natural drops for eye irritations. For more information on the many health benefits and uses of red Rooibos tea go here.

Rooibos has no known interactions with conventional drugs and is not known to interfere with health conditions – this makes it a great choice for most dogs. There are many ways you can introduce, and regularly use this healthful, versatile herbal tea to your dog’s diet and health regimen.  This tea is also safe for most cats. If your pet has an allergy to the rooibos bush you should not give your pet rooibos tea.

It is important to use organic rooibos only – do not use non-organic tea. As with all herbs, herbal teas, herbal tonics, etc., non-organic sourced herbals do not have the health promoting properties of organic-sourced herbals. The applications of herbicides degrades the healthful properties of the plant, and the resulting herbal product  has a high level of toxic residue.
